Are you Ready for Something Higher?

Introduction: Are you satisfied with the status quo your life Mediocrity, Stagnation or fruitlessness? Just name them or you desire to live the life of your dreams? If you want to live the life of your dreams, then you've got to concentrate on and work towards it.

Richard Baxter said and i quote "idleness is a Constant sin, and labour is a duty". Idleness is the devil's home for temptation and for unprofitable, distracting musing; While labour profiteth others and ourselves.
The greatest achievers were not born with exceptional brains or physical strength. You must strive for excellence in all you do and make the most of your life by working towards realizing your fullest potentials. YOU ARE BORN TO succeed; therefore believe in God, and in yourself that you can achieve your life's dreams.

You were not created to be a failure or to live a life of Mediocrity. You MUST, therefore, not settle for the less. He(creator) has endowed you with great talents and capabilities to attain any height in life.

Rick Warren said that nothing shapes your life more than the commitments you choose to make.
The point here is, the creator wants to push you beyond the status quo to something higher and deeper. He expects you to make a meaningful change in your life because without change there can be no growth, only status quo.
The Challenge becomes;
1. Finding a reasonable way to determine exactly what needs to change and
2. Developing a plan or system that is measurable and
3. Ensure that the change really happens.

The first important decision to make is to believe that the status quo is totally unacceptable.
Next, take action because belief alone won't create the necessary change. Committing to making necessary changes requires an element of risk. Unwillingness to take risk and make change is accepting the status quo.

Here are some tips that would help:
1. Write down your most desired goals. Without limit, write down all you want to accomplish - your spiritual, academia( RN, RNE, BNSC MSC, PhD, DNP, Professor) and other accomplishments you would like to see happen while moving forward.

2. Identify all the steps it will take to accomplish each goal. Don't go to your second and third goal until you have identified all the steps you should take to achieve the first goal.

3. Track your efforts.
Now that you have every specifications to take to accomplish each goal, it is critical that you establish a tracking system.

Each day
Track the actions you have identified against the actions you actually took.
Accountability is important here; As you hold yourself accountable, you will quickly realise that you begin to establish a rhythm. This rhythm becomes easier as time passes and soon becomes habit.
Before you know it, you will see your desired results become reality. That begins to move you from the status quo to significant change.

Finally, you must be diligent, and persistent in your pursuit of achieving greater things.
According to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "The heights great men reached and kept, were not attained by sudden flight, but, they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night".
